Over the years at Walstar Technologies, I have met and interacted with many students, freshers, and job seekers. Some are excited to start their journey. Some are confused. But many of them are simply misguided.
What’s really troubling is that these students are not lacking talent – they are lacking the right guidance.
What’s really troubling is that these students are not lacking talent – they are lacking the right guidance.
Today, too many freshers are getting random advice from all directions – seniors, relatives, friends, even HR people.
People say things like:
- Do Data Science, it’s trending.
- Don’t choose development, there’s too much competition.
- Join this course, placement is guaranteed.
- Take training with us – we’ll help you get a job.
But later, those same people say:
- We don’t hire freshers.
- Sorry, there are no openings right now.
And what happens? The student is left with nothing. They waste 1, 2, or even 3 years – along with their money, time, and mental energy.
Real Situations I have personally seen.
Let me share what I have seen in real life:
- A student was advised by someone from a big company to do a certain course.
- That student paid big money, studied hard for a year, and trusted that person’s word.
But when he later asked for a job, that same person said, “Sorry, we don’t hire freshers.”
Another student skipped development work because someone told him, “AI is the future, don’t waste time on anything else.
One year later, he was still searching for a job – while others who started small were already growing in their careers.
What I want to say is simple:
- Giving advice is not a small thing.
- One wrong suggestion can damage someone’s confidence, time, and future.
I request everyone:
- Don’t give advice if you’re not fully sure.
- Don’t suggest something just because it worked for you.
- Don’t play with someone’s career like a trial-and-error experiment.
A student’s career is not a test – it’s their life.
What I Want to Say to Students
I know it is confusing. Everyone is saying different things. But please don’t get carried away.
- You don’t need 100 opinions – you need clarity.
- Pick one skill and learn it properly.
- Don’t blindly follow trends – choose what suits you.
- Always ask questions and do your own research before trusting any advice
Success doesn’t come from shortcuts – it comes from focus, effort, and self-awareness.
My Final Thought
At Walstar Technologies, we always believe in real growth. We have seen students rise, but we have also seen how wrong advice wastes potential.
Giving a suggestion is easy.
But if it’s wrong, it can take years for someone to recover.
- Let’s be more responsible.
- Let’s guide the youth properly.
- Let’s stop confusing students with half-knowledge.
Together, let’s build a stronger, better IT industry – one where students don’t just survive, but they truly grown.
